Privacy Policy — Bouncing Ball
Last updated 4 September 2026 · Cubicle Square · v1.0.0
Bouncing Ball is a single-player arcade game. This policy explains what the app does with information, in plain terms. The short version: the game itself keeps everything on your device and has no account, no server and no login. The advertising in it is provided by Google, and that part does involve data leaving your device.
You can change your advertising choices at any time from inside the game: Profile → Ad privacy options. On iOS you can also revoke tracking permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads.
What the game stores on your device
Your progress is written to your device's own app storage and never leaves it. Nothing in this list is transmitted anywhere, and none of it identifies you.
- Levels unlocked, stars earned, and levels cleared
- High scores and your best run
- Stardust balance, purchased upgrades, cosmetics and continue tokens
- Your daily streak and the date it was last claimed
- Sound, haptics and screen-shake preferences
- Counters that decide how often an ad may appear
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no cloud backup and no way for us to recover it, because we never had a copy. You can also clear it yourself from Profile → This save.
Advertising
The game shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects through its SDK. What it collects, and why, is described in Google's Business Data Responsibility page and in the Google Privacy & Terms.
In broad terms, the AdMob SDK may process:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) | Selecting and measuring ads, and limiting how often you see the same one |
| Approximate location, derived from IP address | Serving ads that are legal and relevant in your country |
| Device and app information — model, OS version, app version, language | Rendering ads correctly and detecting invalid traffic |
| Ad interaction — impressions, taps, and whether a rewarded ad was watched to the end | Measuring campaigns and paying for the reward you earned |
| Diagnostics from the ads SDK | Crash and performance reporting for the SDK itself |
Rewarded ads
Two places in the game offer you an ad in exchange for something: one more continue when a run has ended, and a small amount of stardust in the shop. These are always your choice. Declining costs you nothing except the reward, and the game is fully playable without ever watching one.
Consent, and how to change your mind
Where the law requires it — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain US states — the app asks for your consent before serving personalised ads, using Google's User Messaging Platform. If you decline, you will either see non-personalised ads or none at all, depending on your answer. Your choice is stored on your device and is respected on every later launch.
You can reopen that choice at any time from Profile → Ad privacy options.
What we do not do
- There is no account, sign-in, email address, name or password.
- We do not ask for your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, files or precise location. The app requests no runtime permissions at all.
- We do not sell or share personal information for money, and we do not run our own analytics.
- We do not knowingly collect anything from children — see below.
Children
Bouncing Ball is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the ads in this app, contact us at the address below and we will pass the request to Google, who hold the data.
Your rights
Because the game holds no personal data on any server of ours, most requests about advertising data have to go to Google, who are the controller for it. Their tools:
- My Ad Center — see and change how Google personalises ads for you
- Advertising ID controls on Android
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
If you are in the EEA, the UK, California or another jurisdiction with data protection rights, you may exercise those rights against Google directly for advertising data, and against us for anything we hold — which, as described above, is nothing.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it and the updated version appears at this URL before the change reaches a released build.
